Chinese brush calligraphy artwork, written in Brighton, UK
This original calligraphy artwork presents an excerpt from a renowned poem by the Tang dynasty master, Du Fu. Rendered in expressive cursive script on traditional Xuan paper(made from sandalwood bark and rice straw), the piece was created using freshly ground pine ink.
The work is completed with the artist's signature, date, and three hand-carved stone seals: a name seal and a surname seal at the lower left, and a pictorial "leisure seal" (闲章) of a plum blossom at the upper right.
