Original artwork: Chinese calligraphy on Xuan paper in the running or half cursive script of Yuan dynasty artist Zhao Mengfu 趙孟頫. This script is one of the Chinese calligraphic styles.
I created and painted an ink lotus to complement this calligraphy, as lotus flowers are associated with Buddhism in Chinese culture.
It was written in the UK by me. Since it is an original artwork, each one is unique, reflecting the moment it was created.

When Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara was practicing the profound Prajna Paramita,he illuminated the Five Skandhas and saw that they are all empty,and he crossed beyond all suffering and difficulty.
Shariputra,form does not differ from emptiness;emptiness does not differ from form.Form itself is emptiness;emptiness itself is form.So too are feeling,cognition,formation,and consciousness.
The original work is on Xuan paper, and it was then backed onto another layer of mulberry Xuan paper for support.
