In this winter-themed workshop, you’ll learn expressive brushstroke techniques to paint pine trees — symbols of strength, integrity, longevity, and good fortune.

Guided by Jing, you’ll study a renowned work by the Ming dynasty master Chen Chun (陈淳) to experience the expressive freedom and rhythm of classical ink painting. You’ll discover how to convey the strength and spirit of pine trees through dynamic brushstrokes inspired by his timeless style.

Alternatively, you can chose to do a different painting. Jing will also to guide you through. 

With gentle, step-by-step guidance, you’ll complete your own artwork to keep or give as a meaningful Christmas gift.

Enjoy a warm Chinese lunch, tea, and snacks, and relax by the wood burner as you paint — a truly cosy and creative way to spend your autumn Sunday.
