Chinese brush landscape ink painting (sumi-e) in Brighton, UK
This is an original Chinese painting, or sumi-e art in other words, depicting as ink Chinese landscape. It is hand-painted on 80% treated Xuan paper using freshly ground natural ink.
It is signed, dated and stamped with stone seals carved by myself.
This painting is just part of "One Thousand Li of Rivers and Mountains (千里江山圖局部)". The original painting was created by Wang Ximeng (王希孟, late 11th to early 12th c.), during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). It is a hand-scroll, done in ink and color on silk, measuring 51.5 x 1191.5 cm. The original is currently stored at The Palace Museum, Beijing.
This is NOT a print or a reproduction; it is my original artwork, painted in my home studio in Fiveways Brighton, Plum Blossom Ink Art.
