Original Chinese Brush Painting – 2025 Bird Collection
Created in spring 2025 in Fiveways, Brighton, England.
This painting is part of my new bird collection and explores a refined style—combining delicate brushwork for the bird and bamboo with a softly blurred background. This contrast evokes a sense of poetic stillness and Zen, inviting quiet reflection.
Painted on raw Xuan paper in the sunlit calm of my home studio, the process was deeply meditative. Once fully dried, I carefully wet-mounted the piece onto mulberry paper to preserve its form and enhance presentation.
This artwork received wonderful feedback during this year’s May Artists Open Houses (AOH), appreciated for its serenity, detail, and quiet strength.
