The original artwork was painted in my home studio, Plum Blossom Ink Art, in Fiveways Brighton, UK.
Printed in the Brighton, UK.
The original painting was painted on double Xuan rice paper, with Chinese natural inks and mineral based colours, in fine line and free hand styles.
Signed, dated and stamped with stone seals carved by myself which one bears my name, and another is best wishes.
I have also added some calligraphy artwork which is in Lishu ancient script on the original painting. It is from a poem which was written by North Wei （386年～534年） general Zheng Kai 郑凯.
“江南無所有，聊贈一支春“ ：Nothing special，but sending you a branch of spring（plum blossom）！
General Zheng was away from home to south of China during a domestic war. He was missing his best friend who was in the north. One day at early spring when he was enjoying the plum blossoms, a courier was passing by. So he asked him to deliver a branch of plum blossom to his best friend Fan Ye 范晔. Then back home, he wrote this poem.
折梅逢驛使，寄與隴頭人。
